BCS Switzerland Section
Welcome to the BCS Switzerland Section website. Our section was created in February 2004 as an international section of the BCS on a par with other similar sections such as those within Belgium, Hong Kong and the Isle of Man.
Our Section aims to hold at least four professional or social events throughout the year that are normally open to both members of the BCS and the general public. While the committee is based in the Zürich region, members of the BCS Switzerland are spread all over the country and we try to hold events in the regions of Zurich, Geneva and Bern.
Our forthcoming events are published on this web site and if you happen to be in Switzerland at a time coinciding with an open event please join us. If you are a BCS member and regular visitor to Switzerland or would like to register with the Section anyway, then please update your details held by the BCS.

News
At the last committee meeting (25th February), a decision was made to hold a social event in Zürich on
the second Thursday of each month, with the intention of ensuring a
casual, attend as you please, atmosphere. It was decided to try a new
venue, the James Joyce pub, which may be less noisy than the previous
places we chose. We'll see! It's pretty near the main station (one tram
stop along the Bahnhofstrasse) for those who must travel!
If anyone in the west of Switzerland (Geneva) wants to set up something similar please get in touch with us.
